About NSPPL:

The National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs aims to help people who have undergone amputations as a result of the Syrian War by providing them with prosthetic body parts and the appropriate rehabilitation. Established in February 2013 by a group of Syrian doctors living overseas, NSPPL is a non-profit organization serving people in Syria and Turkey.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using the computer.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
Drive trucks to pick up incoming stock or deliver parts to designated locations.
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labelling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
Advise internal users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials requested.
Prepare documents for new purchases or additional stock requests.
Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs.
Provide assistance or direction to other stockrooms, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.
Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them as necessary.
Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications & requirements:

Minimum High School Certificate
A minimum of 2 years ‘ work experience in Warehouses or similar positions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and Very good in English.
Previous medical or INGO experience is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Advanced computer skills in MS Office ,accounting software ,and databases
Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
A strong propensity for flexibility, teamwork, and creative thinking will be essential to this job.
Good stamina to stand and work for long hours.
Adaptable and capable of working well under pressure.
Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently without supervision
