You will be responsible for helping Wilshire democratize access to alternative investments by representing Wilshire’s private market and marketable alternative investment capabilities to independent registered investment advisors, multi-family offices and other private wealth management organizations. Capabilities include alternative investment advisory services, discretionary alternative fund vehicles funds, and middle- / back-office operational support solutions. There will be extensive interaction with prospects, clients, and cross-functional Wilshire teams. This position reports to the Leader of North American Sales.

What you’ll do:

  • Focus primarily on private wealth buyers of alternative investments
  • Raise assets across various investment strategies
  • Help expand our growing alternatives advisory business
  • Effectively and thoughtfully articulate the investment philosophy and strategies of Wilshire
  • Lead the sales process from opening the door to closing the sale, providing the necessary management and investment team resources along the way
  • Existing relationships with independent RIAs and multi-family offices are preferred

What you have:

  • Candidate will be a passionate self-starter who can creatively identify, prioritize and gain access to new investors within the requisite channels
  • In-depth knowledge about and familiarity with alternative investments across the liquidity spectrum, including private equity, private credit, private real assets, hedge funds and liquid alternatives
  • Have demonstrated results cultivating a strong network in the marketplace that has resulted in winning clients
  • Travel may be extensive at times, particularly around targeted fundraising periods which will require more dedication to prospecting
