Free Your Instinct deliver parkour for mental health and wellbeing. We are looking for creative, innovative and inclusive trustees to join our trustee board at an exciting time of growth.

What will you be doing?

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to have a genuinely huge impact on a rapidly growing area of mental health.

Free your instinct is a small but vibrant charity that pioneered the use of Parkour to support people with mental illness and improve their wellbeing and health. The coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating impact on mental health throughout the world, which has resulted in growing demand on mental health services and organisations. Subsequently, the charity is currently going through a rapid phase of growth and transformation and are therefore reviewing and adapting our processes and structure.

We are therefore looking for creative, innovative and inclusive Trustees to join our trustee board at this exciting time to contribute to the governance of the charity and to support our strategic development. We are looking for applicants who have one or more of the following key skills/ backgrounds

  • Legal
  • Finance
  • International Humanitarian Aid
  • Promoting inclusivity including disability, BAME, LGBTQ+
  • Public relations and fundraising
  • Working with volunteers
  • IT including digital technologies and social media
  • Local government
  • Mental health and mental health services

The charity is managed remotely, however face to face meetings may be required in either Bristol or London where the majority of our work is conducted.

As part of our board you will be at the forefront of supporting the strategic growth and development of Free Your Instinct at a time of significant transformational change, truely establishing the charity as a leader within mental health providers.

The role of trustee is a vital role, ensuring we can continue to support those living with a recognised mental health need and also reach and support more vulnerable people from excluded and minority populations, who are most affected by the inequalities of mental health.

As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to influence and guide the strategic progression of the charity and our evolving work as we grow as an organisaiton.
