Are you a dedicated and passionate social media manager, looking for a creative role which will make a huge difference in the lives of others?
Our small charity is looking for a brilliant individual with excellent interpersonal skills and buckets of enthusiasm to lead our social media efforts through our poverty relief, education, healthcare, sport and social programmes around the world.
The Social Media Manager is a crucial post for Mehiel Foundation. You will lead the fundraising efforts, which provide vital support for all our operational activities. We are looking for an individual with exceptional skills and experience in social media and digital marketing. This is a great opportunity to work in a small team where there’s also the opportunity to get involved in a wealth of other activities.
This post will help the organisation to tap into potential new sources of income and increase existing ones.
About Us
Mehiel Foundation is a small charitable organisation based in Oxfordshire, UK, founded in 2010 which has undertaken projects in 14 countries around the world. Its primary aim is to tackle the underlying causes of poverty and social injustice, in order to deliver lasting change in the lives of underprivileged and vulnerable people.
We aim to break the cycle of poverty through education, empowerment and enterprise, working at the heart of the community. Food, health and counselling programmes run alongside education to give an integrated approach to learning, providing security and ensuring the children and young people can make the most of their education.

What are we looking for?
What We Need From You Is To
- Perform a social media audit Assess the current state of our social media pages and make recommendations on how we might improve our presence and engagement and where we might focus our efforts.
- Help us develop and/or execute a social media campaign
- Provide guidance/strategy on how we can manage our social media on an ongoing basis e.g. using a centralised tool, creating a content calendar, identifying easy and free graphic tools and images
- Produce fresh and engaging content for our social media channels
- Prepare graphics for sharing across channels
- Engage with our followers and encourage interaction
- Manage and maintain social media channels on a regular basis
- Write and edit marketing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Build strategies to increase social media following and /or build fundraising or awareness campaigns
- Develop a coherent brand voice for social media, from content creation to community interactions
- Use and set up tools such as Hootsuite, Social Sprout, Canva, etc
