Volunteer – Shop Assistant for Ballymote Essential Seconds MS Therapy shop

Our ‘Essential Seconds’ shop in Ballymote REALLY needs volunteers to help us on Monday – Saturday 10am-4.30pm. If you can help out for at least 3 hours a week, any morning or afternoon, please click apply below and we’ll be in touch.

The Volunteer Role Will Involve

• Shop Sales Counter Assistant.
• Assist customers with product choices and purchases.
• Restock shelves and clean shop.
• Manage the cash till.
• Sort out incoming clothes and other stock.

Training will be provided in manual handling and in using the till.

About Us

The overall aim of the Multiple Sclerosis Centre is to enrich the lives of people with Multiple Sclerosis by providing therapies that will enable them to live fuller lives in a caring, supportive and positive setting. The Centre also endeavours to provide a state of the art respite facility, advice and support for the families and carers of people with Multiple Sclerosis.

What’s Required

• Good people skills and friendly relaxed manner.
• Experience dealing with public.
• Previous retail experience an advantage but not essential.
• Trustworthy and honest.
• Keen eye for fashion displays would be a big help.
• Good communicator and happy talking to people. Applicants will be asked to supply two references – character/ work /volunteer reference.
