Volunteer – Rossinver Calling and Befriending Service

We are looking for volunteers to provide a friendly call service to our clients to have a chat, provide local information and do a wellness check. If you can listen and chat, then this role is perfect for you.

This unique service provides friendship for the client and reassurance for their families!

The service is provided Monday to Friday mornings and we are now extending our service to initially include Monday and Wednesday evening also. You can volunteer from our centre, or from home. If volunteering from home, a mobile phone will be provided. Evening volunteering is from home only.

About Us

The New Ballagh Centre, Rossinver works to promote the mental and physical wellbeing of older people through its Rossinver Calling phone service, befriending services and overseeing five active age groups in North Leitrim. We also host evening classes and Back to Education classes as well as a space for community services.
