Age Cymru are recruiting for a pro-active self-starter to join their supportive team as a Volunteer Project Officer.
Utilising their strong communication and organisation skills, the successful applicant of this fantastic opportunity will develop and maintain relationships with care homes and local organisations to encourage volunteer recruitment in care homes.
Your vital work will help to ensure that the voices of care home residents are influential within their own care home, and local organisations are supported in developing a pool of local care home volunteers.
As Volunteer Project Officer, you will also recruit, support and manage volunteers as part of the Age Cymru Volunteer Engagement pilot.

This opportunity offers hybrid working between home and Age Cymru’s Cardiff based office.

You will have:
* Demonstrable experience working with others to deliver successful projects and services
* Experience in recruiting, managing and working with volunteers
* Experience establishing and maintaining productive collaborations
* Proven experience running meetings and events
* Networking skills
* Proven ability in negotiating at a range of levels both in and outside the organisation.
* Experience in marketing and promotion
* A knowledge of local services in the public or voluntary sector
* Demonstrable knowledge in diversity of the cultures, environments and communities in which older people and carers live
* A knowledge of issues affecting older people and carers
* Proven ability to successfully manage a team to deliver project outcomes
* High calibre communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to use these for developing partnerships, negotiating and influencing
* Creative thinking
* The ability to manage self and others
* Ability to oversee organisation of work from plan to execution
* The ability to make cost effective use of limited resources
* Adaptability to change circumstances, multitask and make decisions based on new priorities and demands

* IT literacy including data management
* Ability to speak Welsh (Desirable)
