Task
- Commitment to the support RSG’s vision, mission, values, and objectives.
- Shaping the strategy of RSG including inputting to the strategic direction, contributing with insight, oversight, and experience of strategy formulation in other sectors.
- Acting in the interests of RSG at all time in relation to assets, property, statutory obligations, and management requirements.
- Where necessary deciding on strategic actions required to achieve RSG’s objectives, ensuring that all activities are consistent with the organisation’s vision and core values.
- Ensuring RSG complies with relevant legal requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with the Charity Regulator’s Governance Code.
- Ensuring RSG is complying with its charitable purpose for the public benefit.
- Promoting prudent and effective management of organisational resources (financial and human).
- Developing and monitoring effective risk management strategies for RSG.
- Developing and monitoring internal systems that are transparent and accountable to stakeholders.
- Formally registering conflicts of interest or loyalty with the board.
- Not accepting gifts or gifts in kind in the capacity of board member.
- At all times, acting with integrity and upholding the interests of the organisation.
- Promoting the reputation of RSG and not bringing the reputation of the organisation into disrepute

To provide services and support to people with physical and sensory disabilities in Roscommon and surrounding areas. These services included independent living, home care personal assistants and daily activities in the centre

What’s Required
- Minimum five years’ professional experience in a similar role, e.g., as /Director in the private, non-profit, or public sector.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand complex financial issues and risk.
- Understanding of the community and voluntary sector landscape.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
- Commitment to the vision and mission of RSG.
