What will you be doing?
Are you passionate about preserving the world’s forests and ecosystems, fighting climate change and building resilient communities?
We’re RAIN (Regenerative Agroforestry Impact Network), a non-profit charity supporting community-led reforestation and ecosystem restoration projects in the UK and Brazil.
We’re seeking a volunteer to assist us with grant writing and fundraising through foundations, trusts and other grant-making bodies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify appropriate sources of funding
- Prepare and write detailed, accurate and inspiring grant funding applications and bids
- Develop and coordinate a fundraising database to ensure an ongoing flow of proposals
- Create a calendar of grant deadlines and track submitted funding proposals
- Review and write up any grant/bid feedback for future applications
What are we looking for?
Your Experience
About You
- You’ll have experience of grants and bid writing, using persuasive and engaging language to secure funding from grant bodies.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills
- An interest and ability to write about environmental topics would be advantageous
- Open to working collaboratively with others in the team and also be comfortable working autonomously on tasks
- Comfortable with multitasking and managing deadlines
