To help us write case studies to inform audiences of the difference Uganda Lodge makes within the community
What are we looking for?
Candidates will have previous experience in this type of role, must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a professional and resourceful attitude, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a desire to take initiative and manage several successful projects simultaneously
What difference will you make?
Aside from small regular individual donations, one of the charity’s main sources of funding was from volunteers going out to visit the projects in Uganda. However this has been cut drastically due to COVID and so far is not regaining the previous momentum. Schools have now reopened in Uganda but we have less funding and more demand than ever. New funding is urgently needed and your potential contribution will make the difference to not only individual children receiving an education but changes for generations to come.
The charity currently gives hundreds of disadvantaged rural students a good but affordable education each year up to Primary 7 level but we find that many cannot even afford to complete one year of government senior school. Thus as well as getting in sufficient money each month for salaries and food etc, we are concentrating on raising money to expand our Vocation Training Centre for these primary school leavers. Vocational Training gives them a better chance to either find a salaried job or start their own small business alongside their subsistence farming activities.
