What will you be doing?
We are looking to expand our services and help more young people, supported by grant income. We are seeking a fundraiser to help us generate both core and project funding, and complete reports for grant funders.
Depending on your experience
- We can offer support and guidance from an existing, experience part-time grant fundraiser
- There is scope for this to become a paid role, if you desire
What are we looking for?
You must have excellent written skills, and an understanding of finances/budgets.The important thing is that you can see the potential impact of the work we do, and can write persuasive proposals that are businesslike but also emotionally engaging.
Ideally, you will have experience in fundraising, particularly grants or contracts, but your experience can be from a business, public sector or voluntary sector background.
You are likely to be focused on targets and outcomes. You’ll be resilient, and able to cope with the inevitable “no’s” along with the successes. You must be reliable and deliver what you promise.
We hope that you will share our core values challenge, accomplishment, personal development, giving, fun and partnership.
There is also potential to get involved in fundraising through events, if this is an area of interest for you.
What difference will you make?
Your aim will be to help us raise c.£150,000 in voluntary income per annum. This will enable us to
- Increase the scale and impact of what we do
- Start new projects, particularly around mental wellbeing for young people
- Reduce our dependency upon Education & Skills funding. Voluntary and grant income has risen from 15% to 40% of income over the past 3 years.
