What will you be doing?
The Veterans Community Network require an external auditor, to examine our financial records and other data to provide our Trustees and Partners with a clear picture of how we are performing. We would also like the external auditor to assist us in identifying and managing risks across all areas of the charity’s operations and to make any necessary recommendations of improvement.
What are we looking for?
The Veterans Community Network are seeking a highly experience, qualified external auditor who can successful demonstrate the following skill set
- good interpersonal and influencing skills, for building relationships and negotiation.
- excellent written and verbal communication, for presenting complex information with accuracy and clarity
- business and commercial acumen, in order to understand our charity and services in which we provide.
- sound analytical skills, for effectively gathering, interpreting and evaluating data and information
- technological competence, for using software programmes, such as data analytics and modelling tools
- good project management skills, in order to plan and carry out audit activities and to meet deadlines
- critical thinking skills, for reviewing audit evidence and making sound judgment.
What difference will you make?
The Veterans Community Network would greatly appreciate how your input will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, trustees, partners and the general public. With your help we will be able to continue to provide a professional veteran peer mentor service to Veterans, Reservists and Family Members living in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. Peer mentors offer intensive help getting our service users to engage and remain in treatment and support services. We help motivate our service users to recognise and accept that they may need specialist help.
