As we emerge into lighter days Stokenchurch Dog Rescue is looking for an experienced Fundraiser to relaunch our income-generating activities and events as well as nurture a vigorous growth in new campaigns and events.

What will you be doing?

Key duties include the following

Organise and attend activities and events. This can include weekend and evening duties.

Research, develop and implement new income-generating activities and be capable of running these concurrently across different formats to achieve fundraising targets.

Contribute to the budget setting for an event and adhere to the agreed budgetary controls

Generate and manage relationships and research new donor and corporate collaborations. Work to ensure these parties feel valued, and engaged and continue to support Stokenchurch Dog Rescue as their charity of choice

Ensure appropriate information is kept and that the fundraising data is kept up-to-date and accurate. Ensure GDPR compliance.

Represent the work of Stokenchurch Dog Rescue and build on its good reputation.

Propose new ideas to improve quality and engagement in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Create Standard Operating Procedures and risk assessments for all activities and events and ensure adherence to these.

Develop and grow an ongoing portfolio of virtual events.

Deliver an outstanding consistent supporter engagement journey experience across community and events fundraising.

Recruit, support and manage volunteers to support the fundraising programme.

Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other members of staff to maximise fundraising opportunities and ‘cross sell’ community & events fundraising.

What are we looking for?

  • A self-starter with experience in working on a variety of projects, managing multiple tasks to deadlines and prioritising their own workload
  • Proven experience in a similar role or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety issues
  • Experience in preparing Risk Assessments for activities and events
  • Experience in writing operating Practices
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience in working or volunteering in the voluntary sector
  • Proficient at using social media tools and capable of using conference software
  • Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and present clear and concise reports and presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and volunteers

What difference will you make?

We are a small, independent charity whose sole aim is to ensure that all dogs arriving at our door, receive the love, care and attention needed before we find them new homes. We rely entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters to enable us to continue with this valuable, and sometimes harrowing, work. We are totally self-financing and rely completely on the income we can generate from fundraising activities, legacies, grants and donations. So the role of Events Coordinator is a crucial member of the team
