Volunteer Business Development Advisor | Sainted Roots

Sainted Roots is looking for an innovative business development advisor to support our mission of helping villages in Zimbabwe to lead their own change. A great opportunity to build something new from the ground up.

What will you be doing?

Sainted Roots is keen to go beyond traditional fundraising mechanism to ensure the longevity of our work. We are keen to develop business opportunities that will help us to generate regular income streams. We’re looking for a seasoned professional who is looking to expand their skills and thinking by innovating how we can create products or services that will help us to achieve these ambitions.

Here’s a summary of the role

• Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
• Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
• Finding innovative ways to generate regular income
• Working in partnership with leadership team to provide guidance and advice on overarching strategy including how we support our villages to generate their own income(s).
• Support our Personal Growth Advisor to develop an innovative business incubator to increase Entrepreneurship within the community.

The job description is flexible and open to further discussion, to ensure that we create a win/win with the selected volunteer.

• Expand the reach of our work, we are currently working in 3 villages in Zimbabwe (with another 3 communities identified for expansion).
• Help rural communities to lead their own change and develop themselves out of the poverty trap through community and individual projects.
• Help to remove these communities reliance on short term international aid by providing education, resources and technical guidance to help them to think long-term.
• Support the reduction of desertification through planting of fruit and indigenous trees in these communities.
• Help parents to fund school places for their children, ensuring strong foundations for future growth and development.
