Reach Volunteering
What will you be doing?
This is an opportunity to work with a small but dynamic team who are passionate about ‘helping the world to feel a safer place for children with developmental trauma’ resulting from adverse childhood experiences. You will be bringing your experience and support and guidance to our organisation.
You will make a huge difference to our charity as we are a very small team currently. Initially you will work alongside the CEO whilst we explore how we can work together effectively. We are looking for someone who can take on some responsibility for this area to enable the CEO to focus on the strategic development of the charity and the delivery of projects.
We would like someone with over 3 years experience in the field of Health and Safety and who can review our policies, risk assessments, systems and processes and implement improvements where needed. We would like to ensure that we are following best practice guidelines.
Once the initial review is complete we would like your input on an ad hoc basis as new scenarios arise, new projects are developed and to complete an annual review.
We want to ensure that everyone who volunteers with us, works with us, or receives any of our services has their well-being, health and welfare protected and supported.
What are we looking for?
You will
- have more than 3 years professional experience of providing H&S support and advice
- be up to date with H&S law, regulations and guidance
Skills/Responsibilities/Abilities
- Provide advice on H&S matters, including policies and risk assessments
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and individually
What difference will you make?
We are growing and we’ll guarantee there will be many opportunities to feel proud of your work and the difference you can make to our work.
- Influence. We welcome new ideas and perspectives, can you broaden our diverse team and challenge our thinking?
- Be remote but connected. Freedom to work from anywhere in the world, with flexible hours, but still be an integral part of a team
- Do good. Volunteering for a good cause improves your general well being.
- Be part of change. Bring your passion, energy and creativity to participate.
Before you apply
You will be offered an informal Teams discussion with the CEO to explore your interest in the role and how we might work together and to see if we both agree you might be a good fit for the charity and the role. All of our appointments, whether volunteer or paid, are subject to our Safer Recruitment Policy which includes the need for 2 references.
