Responsibilities
Volontariat/Traineeship Microsoft Communication Department
As of October 1, 2022, we are looking for a “Volontär*in (M/F/D) for public relations & communications at the Microsoft Communication department. The communication department at Microsoft Germany focuses on dialogue with journalists and analysts as well as with Microsoft partners and customers.
In your role as a “Volontär*in”, you will supervise various thematic focuses of commercial communications..
About The Volontariat
- During the 18 months of the Volontariat you will be part of the German Communication team and you will also have an internal (another segment of Microsoft) and an external (another company) stay
- You will work closely with assigned members of the team and will have the opportunity to identify and drive your own projects
- With the dapr certification of training programs for volunteers & trainees in PR & communications by the German Academy for Public Relations, we show that we recognize and meet the market-driven standards with our traineeship.

Responsibilities
- You support commercial storytelling with a focus on verticals such as manufacturing or automotive
- You are able to identify strong stories and to tell them via different channels (earned & owned)
- You work with internal and external stakeholders and can manage your own projects
- You create content for media work and our internal communication channels in various formats (text, audio, video,…)
- You support the planning and operational control of (digital) events and market them on social media
- You independently take over projects within internal and external communication
- Together with your team, you will address a broad target group, such as customers and partners, through dialogue with journalists, analysts and influencers as well as in the direct address.
- An international environment allows you to learn extensive communication know-how
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- You hold a degree program in the field of communication, humanities or social sciences or another field of study
- Through first internships in the field of PR and/or first professional experiences in journalism, you have already been able to get to know the communication environment
- You bring passion for technological topics and the Microsoft product range as well as the willingness to constantly develop yourself and learn new things
- You have good knowledge in dealing with high-reach social media platforms and multimedia content
- You have a very good knowledge of English and German, you are a good writer and master the handling of Microsoft products
- As a team player, you like to learn every day from and with your team
