Under the overall supervision of the RSC Regional Manager in coordination with the Migration Health Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Medical Data Reports Coordinator the incumbent will be based in El Salvador and will have the following duties to support the required routine tasks in connection with the health assessment and predeparture medical procedures to ensure that identified refugees are medically fit to migrate in accordance with the medical/health requirements of the United States of America.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Assign medical services and organize medical schedule appointments with the Panel Sites for USRAP cases.
  2. Enter the complete results in the Medical Database accordingly and identify properly cases reported by the doctors to have Significant Medical Conditions and Medical Travel Requirements.
  3. Track all refugees undergoing additional medical services such as Tuberculosis

screening (sputum smears and cultures) and Tuberculosis treatment. This includes tracking the follow up sputum examination, chest X-ray and follow up physician examination.

  1. Undertake quality checks of all completed medical files in MiMOSA IAP from non-IOM Panel Physicians and flag the medical QC issues to Migration Health Coordinator.
  2. Review and prepare the “Request for Payment” of the medical invoices and validate them against the agreed upon service fees and requests for deferrals.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely registration and transmission of medical data in the system
  4. Develop tracking mechanisms and Reports for various cases and case scenarios in MiMOSA and Excel.
  5. Assist in the communication process between Panel sites, specialists, laboratories and RSC related to medical examination, pre departure specialist evaluation and pre embarkation checks.
  6. Provide Medical Data Reports Coordinator statistics regularly and as required.
  7. Provide timely input to the supervisor for updating the SOPs.
  8. Ensure security, order, and confidentiality of all interactions as part of the collaborative relationship with applicants, partners and health professionals.
  9. Any other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education and Experience

  • University degree Social Science or Health major or other related field with three years of working experience (is an asset)
  • Five years of relevant working experience with secondary education

  • Fluency in English; able to write e-mails and reports coherently in a timely manner
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Software package.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in performing

Languages

Thorough knowledge of English and Spanish (oral and written)
