Summary: The VP of Social will be responsible for driving the growth and impact of our social media channels, across all product launches, the founder story, and our group of brands. The VP will report directly to the CMO and work closely with our Founder/CEO. They will manage a team of 10+ and should be comfortable with a hands-on approach and deep knowledge of all social media platforms, as well as analytical and any other technical tools. The VP will work cross functionally with key stakeholders in the business such as, Marketing, Creative, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor Huda Beauty’s world-class Social team, setting the tone of the culture and pace of work.
  • In conjunction with our Founder/CEO and under the guidance of CMO lead all aspects of Huda Beauty’s social media initiatives including content creation, storytelling, brand sentiment, and community management.
  • Define and lead strategy/execution for social media efforts across all channels including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, TikTok, and Snapchat for an audience of 50M+ highly engaged beauty fans.
  • Work closely with our Founder/CEO to interpret the vision of the brand, defining key objectives, and develop a strong intuition for ways of working and deliverables; ensure targets are met with brand sentiment and loyalty, delivering relative ROI in sales.
  • Design and implement core processes for social media content creation, production, planning, and delivery, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are clearly outlined and met.
  • Constantly identify best practices, optimizations, and operational improvements to maximize outputs and creativity.
  • Work closely with our Marketing, Sales, and eCommerce teams to create and execute new social activations and content series including social commerce opportunities.
  • Ideate, plan, execute, maintain, and socialize Huda Beauty’s social media editorial calendar(s) in conjunction with our Founder/CEO and CMO
  • Lead on strategy of short and long form original content that are optimized for various social platforms; ensure content is always on-brand in terms of visual style, voice, and narrative.
  • Manage and analyze social media budget and spend, ensuring ROI and sales growth is captured optimally, and on track with exponential growth of social channels.
  • Ownership of successful and meaningful product launches, setting targets directly linked to revenue growth across every point of sale.

Requirements:

  • 15 years related experience in designing and executing social media strategy.
  • At least 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing global teams; proven ability to hire, develop, and lead high-performing global talent.
  • Must have experience working with Founders by collaboratively establishing vision, ideating strategy, and executing accordingly.
  • Demonstrated P&L responsibility and management.
  • Highly educated & experienced about the functionality of all applicable social media platforms.
  • High levels of intellectual horsepower combined with empathy and emotional intelligence, the ability to listen to and learn from their team.
