AboveBoard is actively assisting another business to find its next Vice President of Marketing.

 

Opportunity for Impact

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP Marketing will oversee the marketing organization and play a key role in driving our growth. The VP will build and rapidly expand a marketing, lead, and revenue generation machine through programs including product marketing, demand generation, communications, content, and messaging. The right person will be a dynamic leader who is excited to roll up their sleeves and be involved in front-line execution but also have the experience to partner with Product and Sales to drive revenue growth.

 

Role & Responsibilities

The VP Marketing will:

  • Devise and execute our marketing strategy and own the translation of that strategy into tangible marketing plans.
  • Build and lead a high performing team. Serve as a mentor and work to professionally develop and grow existing talent within the marketing team.
  • Set growth and performance benchmarks and establish analytics and dashboards for key performance criteria.
  • Leverage data and insights to develop deeper understanding of the target customer and identify KPIs that increase accountability to achieve meaningful results.
  • Set growth targets on key metrics including traffic, lead generation, cost per acquisition and customer lifetime value then establish performance metric and KPI reporting that track performance against these goals.
  • Identify areas of improvement and create solutions/process flows to be implemented throughout the marketing team (and internal peripheral functions) to create efficiencies.
  • Drive a culture of constant testing & learning to discover new and innovative ways to scale marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the product team and sales team to identify and implement solutions to improve conversion.
  • Proactively seek out new tactics, media, and technologies to ensure Forma.ai is at the forefront of marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and relevance.

 

Professional Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in progressively more senior leadership roles and experience in multiple marketing disciplines with a focus on product marketing.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS high-growth salestech companies from Series A onward.
  • Track record of leading and developing marketing teams with ownership of all facets, including product marketing, demand generation, creative, content marketing, communications/PR, events insights and analytics.
  • Record leading successful, and metrics-proven, campaigns. Deep understanding of a highly predictable marketing machine – conversion rates, attribution, investment models.
  • Highly motivational and capable of communicating clearly, logically and with a high level of conviction at the executive level. Ability to build, coach, and develop geographically dispersed teams.

Other Relevant Skills (Recommended): 

  • Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Formulate, direct, or coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products or services, working with advertising or promotion managers.
  • Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Compile lists describing product or service offerings.
