Morgan Stanley’s Rewards Job Architecture team is seeking an HR professional with 8 + years of compensation and job evaluation/job levelling-related experience.

The primary functions of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate as a subject matter expert on project team to develop new Job Architecture framework and compensation pay strategy and structures for Morgan Stanley’s infrastructure and corporate divisions.
  • Conduct job evaluations and determine placement of roles within the job architecture framework for newly created roles and/or revised roles within a particular business line.
  • Conduct compensation analysis and recommendations for employee-level promotions and job level changes, for new hires and/or employees moving to new roles within the job architecture framework.
  • Facilitate employee-level role mapping with multiple business teams across the infrastructure business groups of the firm.
  • Manage annual review of salary ranges; Conduct benchmarking/market data analyses and make annual recommendations for changes to salary ranges; ensure integration of range components into existing systems.
  • Prepare compensation related modeling and analytics to create senior management exhibits and present to management teams
  • Collaborate with various partners, including HR, and Business-specific and firm-wide Compensation Teams.
  • Other project-related activities as required.

> Bachelor’s Degree

> 8+ Years Related Work Experience in Compensation, including Job Benchmarking and Job Evaluation required.

> Ability to develop analytics from multiple streams of data, interpret & analyze trends, develop meaningful story/recommendation and communicate the information in a logical concise way

> Must have ability to manage projects in addition to daily responsibilities, ensuring accurate delivery of product to senior management and external stakeholders

> Strong process and project-management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, re-prioritize as needed and problem-solve autonomously

> Strong client focus and team player

> Must have superior attention to detail

> Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to convey complex ideas clearly & concisely

> Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; exposure to additional systems preferred

> Interest in learning new systems and technologies

> Enjoy high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic environment

> Approaches work with mindset to continuously improve and streamline processes

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 110,000 and 190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
