Shared Service Banking Operations (SSBO) delivers industry utility solutions by aligning the right functions, people, processes and tools into 14 core disciplines offering tailored client service levels that are efficient, controlled and compliant with regulation.
Institutional Reference Data Services is a Control Team within the SSBO organization which primarily supports the control aspects and vendor oversight in the initiation and ongoing support of client accounts, related client information, associated settlement instructions and various projects supporting this business. Supported businesses include Listed Derivatives, Equity and Fixed Income cash products, Prime Brokerage, FX and non-cash products such as derivatives.
About The Role
As an Institutional Reference Data Services Vice President, you will play a critical and active role in the day-to-day leadership and management of the North America control and vendor team.
Responsibilities Include
- Daily supervision of the teams BAU activities including the setup and maintenance of accounts and settlement instructions, providing an escalation point to the teams Directors and internal stakeholders, management of the vendor relationship, and oversight of talent acquisition, retention, and development
- Actively engage in a variety of broad projects and initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert regarding account opening/maintenance and settlement instructions, and taking a lead on various forums and working groups
- Partner with various business units to drive strategic change focusing on improving data quality and customer experience for clients
- Assist in the monthly preparation of metrics, inclusive of formal risk packs and analytics used by senior management. This will include depth charts and utilization metrics for the team.
- Supervision of the internal and external audit processes
- 7-10 years’ work experience, including management of a fast-paced Operations team
- Series 99, if not within 3 months of starting the role
- Good understanding of Institutional Operations, and either reference data, or trade lifecycle and settlements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships
- Strong problem solver with an understanding of root cause analysis and remediation
- Must be proficient in documenting procedures and process flows
- Must be proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
