The role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our 4 vet Medivet Ramsbottom branch in Bury, Greater Manchester due to our practice recently relocating to a brand new purpose build clinic we are looking for an additional vet to join our team.
Working alongside Kay and Ian our very experienced branch partners, you would be fully supported in your role and part of a team committed to providing excellent client and patient care. Ian has recently completed a certificate in small animal internal medicine and Kay is in the final stages of the small animal surgery certificate. Our practice has a friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide.
This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking for the support needed to further their career. The role will function in an environment where colleagues support each other by sharing skills and knowledge, to give our patients the best outcomes. The successful candidate will have great communication skills and will be confident with routine surgery and diagnostics.
This role is 39 hours a week, including 1:3 Saturday’s or 1:6 Saturday and Sunday shifts. The hours are spread over a 4-day week, offering a great work life balance.

- Salary up to £65,000 per annum dependent on experience

Ramsbottom is a busy, first opinion veterinary practice situated in the middle of the town so lots of places to eat and shop very close by with close links to Manchester and 30 mins from Manchester airport. Situated in a rural location there is lots of lovely countryside on the doorstep, with the peak district and lake district within an hours drive.
We are fully equipped to carry out medical workups and surgical procedures and you would be fully supported by our team of vets and nurses. Equipment of the branch include: ECG/X-Ray/Ultrasound/Operating theatre.
