Various countries – Roster of Consultants

COOPI is looking for candidates for its Roster of Consultants with the following profiles:

1. Technical experts in food security /livelihoods, environment/climate change, health/nutrition, protection/MHPSS, DRR/DP/EWS, with proven working experience as Advisers or similar positions;
2. Proposal writers with proven experience in project writing and funding acquisition for UE-INTPA, ECHO, AICS, USAID (BHA and BPRM).
3. Experts in project evaluations (institutional donors: UE-INTPA, ECHO, AICS, USAID)

Pre-qualified candidates will be included in a roster for on-call assignments related to project design and evaluation, gap-filling and technical-programmatic support to Country Offices. Depending on the nature of the assignment and the needs of the country, on-site missions may be envisaged.

Responsibilities of the role (detailed list of activities required by the position)

Typical assignments include project proposal writing, needs assessment, knowledge management (capitalisation, good practices), project evaluation (mid-term and final), technical support, gap-filling for project manager positions or other.

Profile of the candidate (education required, years of experience, technical skills, transversal skills)

SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent);
2. A minimum of 5 or more years of professional experience relevant to the position for which you are applying;
3. For project design/evaluation/studies: excellent writing, research and analytical skills;
4. Excellent knowledge of English and French; knowledge of Spanish desired.
5. Field experience.

TRANSVERSAL SKILLS

1. Able to work effectively in a multicultural environment;
2. Able to work independently and remotely, as well as in various settings;
3. Proven ability to work in situations of insecurity, stress and in countries considered to be at risk;
4. Flexibility to travel within the country and in the areas of intervention;
5. Excellent organisational and management skills.
