Major Responsibilities
Create sales orders in SAP based on pre-booked orders
Demands to be released with Varian factories and purchase orders to be placed with outside vendors
Organization of transportation of equipment by sea-freight, airfreight and truck
Issue all the necessary shipping documents in order to ensure equipment, provided either internally or externally, is shipped to the customer within the agreed deadlines according to contractual terms
Handling of complex letters of credit
Coordination of readiness of site with site coordinators
Invoicing and revenue recognition
Monitoring projects in terms of delivery and payment
Coordinate backlog activities (purchase orders, delivery schedule) according to contractual terms
Guarantee of adherence to import and export control procedures both in respect to Swiss and foreign regulations
Overall responsibility of systems projects
Qualification And Experience
Commercial apprenticeship (KV) or equivalent education. Export diploma preferable
Minimum 2 – 5 years of experience in order processing, in export / import, contract or administrative activities and in handling letters of credit
Planning and organization skills
Good skills in project coordination activities (orders from order receipt to delivery and acceptance)
Experience / knowledge of PC applications such as Microsoft Office Tools and SAP
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Fluency in German & English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are desirable
Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
