The Morodok Baitang Activity funded by USAID and implemented by Tetra Tech International Development (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Value Chain Specialist. This position will be located in the main office in Phnom Penh with frequent travel to project sites.
The Value Chain Specialist, engages with community members, conservation enterprises, private sector companies, and other VC actors to support technical assistance for environmentally friendly VC and sustainable livelihood interventions. The successful candidate must have a strong interest and understanding of conservation. S/He must have experience working on forest- or agriculture-based value chains and must have experience supporting organic, wildlife-friendly, or other sustainable value chains or platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Works closely with the Community Engagement and Gender Specialist to promote and expand sustainable value chains with local partners
*Supports recruitment of participants to engage in conservation-friendly value chains and enterprises
*Provides training and support to entrepreneurs
*Supports monitoring and reporting on value chain standards
Qualifications:
* Degree in natural resource management, agriculture, agronomy, agribusiness, forestry, or other relevant field
* Minimum of 5 years experience on the development of value chains
* Experience working on organic, certified, wildlife-friendly or other value chain with sustainability standards
* Khmer language skills and professional competency in English
