University College London (UCL) is a multi-faculty college of the University of London with a population of over 38,000 students, from more than 150 different countries. In 2005 its core staff and teaching programmes formed a newly created Department of Political Science within the School, and for all practical purposes the two entities are now identical. The Department offers a uniquely stimulating environment for the study of all fields of politics, including international relations, political theory, comparative government and public policy-making and administration. The effective administration of the Department’s admissions, marketing and student recruitment processes is key to successful recruitment and financial planning for this busy and growing department.

The post holder is required to provide high-level support to the admissions processes and student recruitment strategies for the School’s postgraduate Masters, undergraduate and research programmes. The role will involve contact and communication with the Department’s prospective students and parents, academic staff and Registry and Faculty staff across UCL, so a polite and helpful attitude is essential as well as a can do attitude and flexible response during busy periods. Occasional evening or weekend work will be required when events are scheduled; time off will be given in lieu.

The post is open-ended and available immediately.
