Job Overview And Responsibilities
Direct, plan, coordinate and control the Accounting, Audit, Payroll, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Budgets and Financial Reporting, Administration, Statutory Reporting, Cash Forecasting function, Tax/VAT Compilation & Reporting, Corporate Compliance, Internal Controls, A/P and payroll processing, Collection and reconciliation
Ensuring that business processes are appropriately standardized across all countries
Develop staff by coaching them or provide adequate training to improve process effectiveness
Represent United as local Power of Attorney as and when instructed by United Legal Department
Handling payroll & and all taxes
Reporting: Forecast, Variance Analysis, Balance sheets
Airline Accounting/BSP
Manage staff job functions, coaching and counseling and ensure all compliance
Directing internal controls to ensure they are designed and operating effectively as business environment and processes are changing significantly due to new planned systems implementations
Expense report processing
Responsible for processing AP payments, VAT filing and reimbursement, and cash management

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of relevant experience
Accounting professional
CPA-Qualified
Payroll & Taxes & expert in accounting principles
Leadership Skills
Well versed with accounting principles and Oracle accounting software
Good knowledge of Payroll, Local labor laws & governmental statistics, financial reporting: Close, Accruals, Variance Analysis, Forecast/Budget
Good knowledge of balance sheet account reconciliation, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables, and regulatory provisions of Income Tax, WHT etc
Experience with processing AP payments, employee expense reports, VAT filing and reimbursement
Experience with cash management
Preparation of detailed WHT return data in order to prepare summary
Excellent Excel Knowledge
Ability to travel and obtain necessary documentation to travel to the US
Must be legally authorized to work in the United Arab Emirates for any employer without sponsorship
Must be fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

Good understanding of Airlines business
Excellent communicator, analytical skills, sensitivity to cultural differences, proven customer focus
Extensive knowledge of international operations, policies, procedures, and processes
Good knowledge of Airline Accounting – BSP, ADM/ACM, IATA regulations
