Since the conflict in Ukraine started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Support Services Director, you will provide overall leadership, oversight, and management support for all aspects of Support services in World Vision Ukraine Crisis Response(UCR). This position is seen as a strategic partner; member of the Senior Management/Leadership Team of the UCR, with a focus on ensuring accountability, stewardship, coordinating planning and budgeting processes, providing accurate financial data, analysis, and advice; as well as developing Support Services’ strategy that best serves the UCR strategic and programme objectives.

You will be responsible for the support staff capacity strengthening, the development and implementation of good internal controls, risk management, and utilisation and safeguarding of assets according to WV approved policies and procedures.

You will provide leadership to the Supply Chain team ensuring that the procurement of organisational resources is executed effectively, efficiently, and economically. You will ensure the UCR is optimally staffed to timely procure & deliver project supplies per grants donor guidelines and WV policies.

You will provide overall leadership to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team and ensure that the office has reliable, sufficient connectivity and the organisation’s information systems and resources are adequately protected.

You will provide overall leadership to the Administration function ensuring that the UCR offices are effectively supported and staff have a clean, secure, and hospitable place to work.

Requirements Include:

  • Must have a University Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Finance, and any postgraduate qualification in Logistics and or Project Management.
  • Up to 10 years experience working in Emergency Logistics and Supply Chain functional areas (Procurement, Warehousing, Air, Sea, Land transport, Last mile distribution, Customs Clearance.
  • Proven field experience in humanitarian logistics, supply chain operations, Administration, and IT.
  • Experience in building strong collaborative partnerships with internal and external (International Organisations, UN organisations, Corporate, Government and Military) stakeholders.
  • Language Requirements: English (Romanian, Ukrainian desirable)
  • Ability to travel in EU, Moldova, and Ukraine up to 30% of the time.
