World Vision

The escalation of conflict in Ukraine has forced more than 5 million people – mostly women and children – to flee to neighbouring countries. With the escalating crisis, the needs are growing by the hour. More than half of Ukraine’s children have either fled for safety within the country or are living as refugees.

Since the conflict started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Senior Programme Officer, you will lead in the development of quality programming, spearheading the design, documentation, monitoring and evaluation of project/programme interventions for both rehabilitative/development and emergency programming. You will provide strategic direction in the development of proposals and programmes, spearheading scoping exercises in pursuit of new opportunities. You will also serve as a key focal point with internal and external stakeholders with regard to grant acquisition, ensuring projects and programmes are adequately resourced to achieve the National Office Strategy.

You will mentor a team of Programme Officers, providing guidance in the design of proposals, provision of timely/quality reporting and positioning with donors/supporters with the aim of enhancing the reputation of the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Development Management or Degree in any relevant Social Science.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in programme design, monitoring and evaluation in a complex humanitarian context in a diversity of contexts and locations (global experience in at least two continents is preferred).
