The escalation of conflict in Ukraine has forced more than 5 million people – mostly women and children – to flee to neighbouring countries. With the escalating crisis, the needs are growing by the hour. More than half of Ukraine’s children have either fled for safety within the country or are living as refugees.

Since the conflict started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Senior Advisor, Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPHA), you will have a focus on World Vision’s Child Protection and Cash programs in designing, implementing and monitoring programs. You will bring with you a profound knowledge of cash, transfers, mainstreaming child protection into cash programs, child safeguarding in cash transfers programming as well as monitoring and evaluating child protection when using cash and voucher assistance. Capacity building skills are essential to train and strengthen implementing partners and mentoring them.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 7 years working experience as a child protection advisor
  • Knowledge and experience in cash programming
  • Master’s degree in social science, social work, humanitarian protection or any other relevant degree
  • European or international driving license
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong skills in oral and written English. Ukrainian, Russian or Romanian is an advantage
