Since the conflict in Ukraine started, our teams have been on the ground assessing and responding to the urgent needs of those searching for safety. We are currently scaling up our multi-country response across three countries (Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine) and are recruiting for many key positions that will make a direct impact on the lives of people who have been caught up in conflict.

Here’s where you come in:

As the Faith in Humanitarian Action Advisor, you will provide leadership for Faith and Development (F&D) integration in all Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR)-related initiatives.

You will lead and/or provide guidance to all F&D contributions in policy, programming, workstreams, collaboration and evidence building. You will lead in building and maintaining collaboration and partnerships with critical stakeholders, e.g. churches, faith-based organizations, faith actors, etc. You will also provide biblical insights, narrative and advice in fragile context undertaking and ensure that all F&D programming engagement in UCR contributes to holistic child well-being.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Set Faith and Development (F&D) Strategic Priorities in Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR) Programs
  • Capacity Building
  • Cross-sector F&D Integration
  • External Engagement

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant academic field (international development, disaster management, relief and development, child development and psychology, community development, etc.) or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in the field.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in/with faith, faith actors and faith related issues in humanitarian and development programming in field location.
  • 5-7 years’ experience and demonstrated understanding of other faith communities, the complexity of working as a Christian NGO within interfaith contexts, relationships with the faith and development arena, major players, and joint work towards the sustainable development goals.
  • Extensive experience and proven results in overseeing or supporting multi-country programmes in Fragile Contexts.
  • Proven experience with grant-funded programmes and managing donor relationships.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
