All Hands and Hearts

The war in Ukraine has created the biggest humanitarian crisis in Europe since World War II. Over 12 million people have received some kind of humanitarian assistance since 25 February. Many people were forced to flee or have been internally displaced in Ukraine.

All Hands and Hearts has over 15 years of experience mobilizing volunteers from around the world to assist those affected by disasters. In June 2022, All Hands and Hearts deployed an assessment team to Poland, to identify if our expertise could be utilized to provide support to communities in need. Poland has been receiving the highest number of refugees among the neighboring countries of Ukraine. Although many have secured housing, 15% live in collective sites. As winter approaches, many of these shelters are not equipped to survive the harsh winter.

This volunteer opportunity will focus on shelter needs by repairing and refitting shelters currently housing Ukrainian refugees located in the Przemyśl area. Many of the shelters are housing primarily women, children and people with disabilities and are preparing for an even greater influx of refugees over the winter.

Our staff will provide all of the necessary training to assist these communities. There is no previous experience required and no cost to volunteer with All Hands and Hearts. We provide housing and food for the entire work week.

Volunteer with us today to help refugees in need!
