Morgan Stanley is seeking a collaborative, creative and resourceful communicator to produce impactful and engaging messaging to drive awareness of the U.S. Banks, its initiatives and people. This role will take a hands-on and independent approach to internal communications projects, providing insightful counsel and rolling out strategic and tactical plans, ensuring content is aligned with the Firm’s objectives, culture and brand.

This individual will collaborate with key leaders and stakeholders across the U.S. Banks, Wealth Management, Corporate Communications, HR, Legal, Risk, Compliance and Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to employee education, retention and engagement by developing and coordinating comprehensive communications plans for U.S. Banks initiatives to reinforce key messages and organizational and Firm goals.
  • Serve as a thoughtful and strategic partner to ensure that these efforts are effective, relevant, timely and organized.
  • Develop content for U.S. Banks and Firm channels, including memos, newsletters, intranet sites, leadership forums and speaking events.
  • Serve as the editor-in-chief of a weekly newsletter and quarterly culture publication, responsible for building and distributing these to U.S. Banks employees and partners.
  • Leverage measurement tools and compile metrics dashboards. Propose and apply best practices to extend reach and readership and improve delivery methods and frequency.
  • Maintain a centralized editorial/events calendar and collaborate with the Corporate Communications network to ensure communication strategies are holistic, consistent and integrated.
  • Work closely with members of the Wealth Management Media Relations team as needed to facilitate external speaking engagements and any interactions between U.S. Banks employees and the media.
  • Commute as needed to the U.S. Banks’ offices in Midtown, Downtown and Purchase, NY.

Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 8-10 years professional experience. Financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable translating complex, sometimes sensitive, material into clear, compelling and succinct copy.
  • Superb eye for nuance and detail with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills, including working with cross-functional teams; proven flexibility, adaptability and reliability.
  • Strong decision making, analytical evaluation, risk management and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficient (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Salesforce a plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 120,000 and 180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
