DW is seeking a TV journalist / reporter (f/m/d) DW Delhi Bureau for Programming in Delhi as of 1 June 2022 or as soon as possible on the basis of a freelance contract.
THE ROLE
- Reporting on news events for DW’s TV programs and social media platforms
- Delivering live interviews, including in breaking news situations
- Identifying stories that are relevant to Asian and global audiences
- Researching and producing TV reports
- Organizing shoots and setting up interviews
- Supporting the TV team members

DESIRED PROFILE
- University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent journalistic training
- Professional experience in TV journalism, including live reporting
- Ability to shoot and edit video
- Strong writing and scripting abilities
- Familiarity with news reporting on social media platforms
- Keen interest in regional and South Asian politics and current affairs
- An understanding of the media landscape in India and South Asia
- Native-level English speaker
- A team player who displays creativity and flexibility and is calm under pressure
- A good organizer with an eye for detail
- Able to explain complex matters in a way that is engaging and understandable
- Commitment to DW’s values of independent journalism and promoting understanding between cultures and peoples
- Willing and able to work at weekends
