Job Title: Operations Assistant

Work Location: Vancouver – onsite – 5 days/wk

Hours per week: 37.5

MUST HAVE

Handling administrative paperwork such as mail, scanning.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Basic transaction processing skills and understanding.
Ability to lift bankers boxes weighing up to 10Kg

 

Completes operational duties within an assigned area of the Company, ensuring timely completion and compliance with established internal standards and external regulations.

Accountabilities

Complete operational processing, servicing related duties in support of assigned area.
Ensure activities comply with pertinent internal standards and external regulations.
Operate various office software and/or mechanical equipment including personal computer, excel, and email.
Receive and log incoming mail and courier packages
Scanning, in office storage and facilitating shipping of documents to centralized storage
Maintain appropriate record of activities; prepare daily worksheets and reports as necessary. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
Ensure compliance, and risk controls are followed in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies.
Ensure transparency on operational issues and potential losses. Including reporting and escalation when identified
Abide to all HSBC policies in support of ethical and respectful work environment.
Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
The position makes decisions within assigned area. Decisions beyond assigned authority are referred to higher management for approval.
The position is operating in a challenging faced-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

 

This Position Requires An Individual With

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in English language, both spoken and written.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent experience.
Proven organizational, planning, analytical, customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent systems and software packages.
Ability to maintain confidentiality as well as operate pertinent office and/or mechanical equipment.
