Position: Trusts and Foundation Fundraiser
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Hours: Part time, 21hrs per week – flexible
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working – home and London office, once established
Benefits: 35 days holiday (pro-rata) per year including bank holidays

About The Role
As Trusts and Foundation Fundraiser you will generate income from new and existing trusts and foundations to fund the work of the charity. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer you will maintain up-to-date knowledge of fundraising regulations, networks, and developments across the sector, advising on best practice.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Contribute to the internal planning and budget setting, setting out clear plans for income generation from trusts and foundations, for restricted and unrestricted activities
- Contribute to forecasting and regular reporting, producing verbal and written reports for senior management as required
- Maximise existing and find new income from trusts and foundations to meet agreed income and profitability targets
- In conjunction with project staff; research, write and present attractive propositions for a range of quality funding bids, proposals and documentation
- Produce and submit quality funding reports to meet deadlines liaising with service leads and relevant teams to ensure funder requirements are met and the evidence base for funding is strengthened
About You
To be successful in the role of Trusts and Foundation Fundraiser you will be an experienced manager with a passion for the work of the charity. You will have a creative approach, with an ability to write interesting and engaging proposals. You will thrive in working with funders and partners on a day -to-day basis, be a self-starter and have high standards for yourself and others.
You will need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
- Substantial experience of working in the fundraising sector in a professional capacity
- A demonstrable track record of successfully generating income and achieving targets
- Developing funding opportunities and creating attractive proposals
- Producing impact and evaluation reports for funders
- Writing for different audiences/contexts
- Understanding of the principles of effective marketing, communication and engagement
- Good financial acumen
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage time, work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
- Confident and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills
- IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and databases
Although not essential some experience of working in the homelessness or social care sector would be beneficial for this role.
About The Organisation
You will be working for a charity who have been working with homeless people and vulnerable women for 30 years.
They are well supported by the local community but rely on trusts and foundations for grants to make a real difference. They have attracted over £1.3 million in funding from trusts and foundations in the last three years and know their work is valued.
