To support that challenge, the Seeds Development team is currently seeking a Seeds Development Trialing Intern in Highland, IL.

Estimated Duration: May 2023-August/September 2023

You Will

  • Learn and adhere to Syngenta safety and stewardship policies
  • Participate in daily tier meetings, HSE meetings, and other team meetings as needed
  • Perform fieldwork including planting, staking plots, field data acquisition such as emergence notes, opportunistic notes, early season agronomic notes, assist in managing pollen activities, tissue sampling and plant and ear height notes
  • Manage data from experiments which includes acquisition and analysis support
  • Assist with nursery inoculation and pollination activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What you must have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, or another closely related field of study
  • Interest in the seed production industry and willingness to learn
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
