Treasury Officer Location: Paisley, Scotland/flexible home working Contract type: 18-month fixed term, very likely to go permanent. Hours per week: 35 Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 per year

How you’ll make a difference…

You’ll provide a treasury operations service to the organisation. You’ll perform a variety of control procedures ensuring we account for all of our treasury transactions and provide assurance that the society’s banking and investment records are complete and accurate.

What you’ll be doing…

Treasury and investment management – manage the daily cash position, actioning transfers to address cash shortfalls or invest excess cash – take the lead in the determination and management of foreign currency exposures, and where appropriate arrange hedging contracts with external financial institutions to hedge against negative currency movements – liaise with investment advisers in respect of agreed funds transfers and be responsible for associated accounting

Reconciliations –

Be responsible for the review of and undertake bank reconciliations, including foreign currency and hedging reconciliations, together with associated accounting

Administration and processes –

Be a primary contact for our bankers to resolve issues or information requests, such as Know Your Client reviews, proactively taking responsibility to resolve any issues arising

What we’re looking for…

– Experience in treasury operations or accounting, including bank, investments and foreign currency in a large organisation – Experience of computer-based ERP accounting systems – A sound knowledge of double entry book-keeping – Confident with excel – Meticulous attention to detail – Identifying issues and problem solving – Strong communication skills verbally and written
