Travel Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Travel Manager to join our team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

You will be overseeing travel arrangements for the firm, for any employees who need to travel on business. Along with 2 direct reports, you will deal with the day to day bookings and act as a point of contact for any difficult queries or customer complaints whilst maintaining the smooth running of the team as a whole.

As Travel Manager, you will work very closely with our finance department on a number of matters, including but not limited to weekly invoice checks, quarterly VAT checks and managing our travel credit card expense. This also involves MI reporting on our travel spend each month, providing reports to Risk & Best Practice (regarding international travel) and our Environmental team (regarding CO2 from travel) each month.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

You will be responsible for managing the relationship with our third party travel management company, Clarity. The ideal candidate will have previous experience using Clarity’s systems, but experience of travel booking systems in general would also be considered. You will be comfortable working with data, with excellent attention to detail and due to the nature of the role you will also need to be proficient in the use of Excel.

We are among the first law firms in the UK to make the pledge to reach Net Zero by 2030, as travel is one of the biggest contributors to CO2 emissions, you will be required to sit on our Net Zero Committee to help shape and manage our goal. You will therefore need to be comfortable in communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

During busy periods, you and your team may be required to assist the finance team with billing queries and so we’re looking for somebody who is flexible in their approach and willing to pitch in when necessary.
