JOB PURPOSE
This position is primarily responsible for the preparation, reconciliation and analysis of the accounting records and financial reports related to Global Travel System.
Main Responsibilities:
The Travel Accountant works with a team under the Finance Shared Services, that primarily
- Facilitates the processing and recording of travel invoices in the system
- Performs verification and analysis of transactions to ensure quality and accuracy
- Reconciles the reports from the system and transaction statement from the card provider
- Coordinates the unreconciled transactions to the supplier and prepare the correction
- Send the summary of the private charges recorded in the transactions to the field delegations for confirmation and process the adjustment
- Create, manage and communicate the monthly reports to stakeholders
- Corresponds with both internal and external customers, responding promptly to requests
- Coordinates/ escalates and resolves issues that impact the operations with the help of the management
- Assists with internal and external audits
- Perform other related duties, as assigned and in support to the Global Travel Project Manager overall tasks
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Working experience in travel accounting
- Excellent and advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Web-based Software Accounting applications (an advantage)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong self-motivation and initiative
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
