About The Role
The role of Collect Planner within Asda Logistics Services (ALS) is to maximise the load and driver efficiency, whilst maintaining service of inbound stock being delivered into our depots by either our own drivers or our logistic partners. You will be a part of a team of 10 planners who plan supplier deliveries into our depots across 365 days a year.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Supplier to depot transport load building, routing and scheduling. Both from 3rd party hauliers and ASDA resource.
- Planning Chill on ESS and Ambient on Deltion systems. (training will be given to use these systems).
- Briefing hauliers & operational teams, communicating planned requirements.
About You
You’ll need to be organised and have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the role will require you to network with colleagues from all areas of the business. You’ll need to be flexible and adaptable to allow you to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You’ll have experience in working within teams and managing time efficiently. Ideally, you will have experience of transport planning and working with ESS and Deltion, however this is not essential.
