The Translator is responsible for ensuring timely and quality delivery of all translation requirements to the needs of the project and the project team. He/she will ensure the translation of required documents both from English to Arabic and Arabic to English. He/she may also be doing whisper interpretation (one on one) for international staff and visiting experts, as needed.

 

Key areas of Responsibility

– Translation and its Management:

  • Oral (with international staff and guests, and GAC)
  • Written (mostly from English to Arabic but also sometimes Arabic to English including correspondence from partners)
  • Letters 
  • 1-page success stories, project updates
  • Posts for social media
  • Manuals
  • Reports
  • Work plan contents
  • Transcript of videos

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

 

 

  • BSc in Translation, Interpreting, or similar field.
  • Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter, or similar role.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Good knowledge of content editing tools.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office programs.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as attention to details
