We have an exciting new opportunity to join the Finance team as a Transactional Finance Assistant at our Sunderland Head Office.
The post holder will be required to work across all areas of Transactional Finance including Accounts Receivable/Payable, Banking and Income. The team thrives on a culture of teamwork and shared goals.
The applicant will deal with a varied range of duties including issuing sales invoices and the effective recovery of income, purchase invoice processing and supplier queries and posting/reconciling bank transactions.

The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo.

Produce and despatch sales invoices and credit notes.
Effective recovery of income, monitoring of payments and repayment agreements.
Ensure efficient processing and prompt payment of invoices.
Posting and reconciling bank transactions and completion of bank reconciliations.
Process payments from customers and refunds for account overpayments.
Calculate and administer direct debit and standing order payments.
What We Are Looking For
Demonstratable experience working in a financial environment with process knowledge of transactional finance tasks.
Experience in adhering to compliance when following financial processes.
Experience in dealing with internal and external customers.
Experience of housing associations and/or large organisations is desirable, not essential.
