Badael is a rights-based organization founded in 2013 with a mission to foster transformative justice as the basis of a genuine and sustainable peace in Syria. Our approach combines direct assistance and capacity building efforts with bottom-up narrative-shaping initiatives, including research, oral history and advocacy, so that all Syrians are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to construct a pluralistic and rights-based society of tomorrow.
The objective of the contract:
- To enhance the capacities of the Civic Awareness Program team in managing community organization campaigns.
- Supervising and directing the program team on three community organizing campaigns in the project areas during the three months (August – September – October).
- Supervising and directing in writing campaign reports and the final report.
The consultant shall perform the following duties:
– Preparing the training material, which includes: the training agenda – an extensive training guide that includes practical exercises – presentations – evaluation forms for the participants.
– managing community organization campaigns.
– Providing advice, supervision and guidance to the program team on how to manage and follow-up campaigns technically and cognitively.
– Providing advice to the program team on how to manage and design community campaigns, and the mechanism for field follow-up and writing campaign reports.
– Sending a detailed report on the training and consultation process that took place for the program team.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
– University degree in Business Management, Social Sciences, or related fields to the vacancy.
– The Candidate must be a certified trainer in the field of community organizing and campaign design, with previous experience in holding similar training.
– Experience in delivering training and capacity building sessions.
– Work experience with Syrian civil society organizations.
– Skilled in working with MS. Office computer programs.
– Excellent Arabic and good English skills.
