Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Training Advisor on a 4/4 or 5/3 rotation based in Basra, Iraq.

  • Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and meth Organize meetings with management before preparing course materials to ensure a detailed understanding of training subjects and processes.
  • C ontinually research methods and techniques in workplace training and remain up-to-date on developments within the industry and competitors.
  • C ollect information from senior management and other departments regarding how well employees retain information and use the concepts learned in training course.
  • Id entify training needs according to needs.
  • R ecruit trainers as / when needed.
  • Develop quarterly and annual training program.
  • P resent all the technical and supply training requirements.
  • P repare budget for training program
  • C ommunicate all the training programs on a timely basis.
  • Imp lement training KPIs as applicab
  • C oordinate, plan, and assign training programs in accordance with available resources and business demand
  • Maintain accurate measurement and reporting of all assigned training metrics to establish accurate statistical baselines and to assist in on-going analysis of the training pro

Skills / Qualifications

Training Advisor Qualifications:

  • R elevant education level.
  • 15 -20 previous experience in planning and managing training programs and activities with multinational companies / training institutes, etc…

Training Advisor Skills:

  • Mother tongue or fluent in English language.
  • Ability to speak and communicate in Arabic is an advantage.
  • S o l u t i o n / a c t i o n o r i e nt e d versus simply problem reporting.
  • Effective c o m m unications skills (oral & written).
  • A b i l i t y to interact in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Previously worked in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with various business lines, third party contractors and business partners.
  • Good management /supervisory, interpersonal and motivation skills.
