Position Summary:

Creative is seeking a Trade Promotion Lead for an anticipated USAID-funded project. The 5-year activity aims to promote peace between the West Bank and Gaza (WBG) and Israel through expanded economic and research partnerships with the WBG, Israel and the U.S. The activity will also support expanded trade opportunities for Palestinians across the Middle East and North Africa region.??

The Trade Promotion Lead will engage with partners and stakeholders to engage the private sector to enhance dialogue and linkages among economic sector participants. S/he will liaise with the technical team members, partners and stakeholders including government officials at national and local levels to promote exports and increase access to regional and international markets. They will identify market opportunities, coach and mentor firms and buyers, and support trade missions to create sustainable and long-lasting relationships.

Reporting:

The Trade Promotion Lead will report to the Deputy Chief of Party.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:?

  • Lead BREB’s private sector engagement strategy;
  • Develop a robust pipeline of viable leads for BREB partner companies;
  • Conduct export market studies to identify new market connections regionally and internationally.
  • Provide technical assistance to businesses in targeted value chains to enhance competitiveness, grow exports, and generate employment;
  • Ensure gender and youth are mainstreamed throughout supported activities;
  • Support the M&E team to collect and consolidate data and relevant information;
  • Plan and participate in project work-plan meetings;
  • Develop and deliver training on required certifications and export requirements for interested businesses;
  • Coordinate with existing trading platforms, events, and conferences;
  • Attend market linkage forums that aim at marketing BREB’s sectors of focus. Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in economics, business, finance, public policy, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in agriculture, ICT, tourism and/or related sectors;
  • At least 5 years of experience with USAID (highly desired) or other similar donor program in trade facilitation, export promotion activities;
  • Excellent communication skills and complete fluency in English and Arabic, Hebrew is a plus;?
  • Previous experience working in West Bank/Gaza and Israel strongly desired.?
