Responsibilities :

The Trade Marketing Specialist supports the Sales and Marketing Team in all aspects of the marketing plan execution for the UAE market. The Trade Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Head of Trade Marketing and works closely with all departments including Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Operations.

Job Purpose:

  • The Trade Marketing Specialist is the direct interface between sales teams and brand managers. He/she influences internally base business, all launches, re-launches, promotions.
  • This role is pivotal in translating marketing strategies into action, driving product visibility, and optimizing sales in the dynamic beauty industry.
  • Ultimately, the Trade Marketing Specialist primary objective is to influence positively the Coty brands market share in UAE by shaping and implementing relevant and tailored trade strategies.

Job Description:

  • Market Knowledge
    • Analyze and share competition activities, and their winning formulas in UAE food and perfumery channels.
    • Visit frequently the trade to ensure best in class execution of our Coty brands activities and liaise with respective teams to initiate corrective actions at the earliest.
    • Highlight markets need to the cross functional teams.
  • Accelerate sell out:
    • Implement trade marketing strategies aligned with the company’s overall marketing and sales objectives to boost sell out ahead of the competition.
    • Execute promotional campaigns tailored to product lines for UAE Food and perfumery channels.
    • Secure and share with UAE agency all needed documents for trade activities implementation on ground.
    • Monitor product discontinuation stock and recommend exit plans in line with trade activities and sales team budget.
    • Coordinate with sales teams and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of trade marketing plans at the point of sale.
    • Provide guidance and support to the sales team to ensure they are well-informed about marketing strategies and equipped to promote products effectively.
    • Ensure that our BTL placements are well synced with our ATL campaigns for maximum output.
  • Analysis & reporting:
    • Analyze sell out data and present to the team on weekly basis with recommended actions going forward.
    • Present close out reports for new launches, activations, and promotions.
    • Share inputs on Market share performance based on trade plans implemented on ground and competitive activities during the period.
  • Budgets & controls
    • Update the BTL expenses monthly.
    • Recommend forecasts to commercial teams and liaise with Demand and Supply teams for sizing consolidation.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in business, marketing or any related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills including very good command of English. Arabic is an advantage.

  • Strong Team Spirit
  • 2-3 years’ experience in trade/ shopper marketing Trade Marketing or related experience
