How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

The Total Rewards Manager will oversee benefits administration, payroll, and compliance for the US, Switzerland, and International Assignees (IAs). This role will partner with the CHRO, HR team, organizational departments, staff-at-large, and vendors to support a strategy that ensures a fully competitive and compliant total rewards program.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role?

Benefits Administration

  • Design and administer total rewards packages for the US, Switzerland, and IAs
  • Conduct employee meetings related to benefits, including new hire orientation, open enrollment sessions, and informational sessions
  • Manage and administer the 403b plan, coordinate and participate in investment reviews, assist with the annual audit, and ensure plan compliance
  • Interface with insurance brokers on annual benefit reviews and renewals
  • Communicate plan changes by preparing announcement materials, booklets, and other resources for employees
  • Respond to employee benefits inquiries, providing individualized support in navigating our offerings based on the needs
  • Proactively evaluate and compare existing benefits with competitors by researching and analyzing other plans
  • Participate in industry surveys and analyze results to develop recommendations
  • Oversee benefits vendor relationships to ensure the organization and its employees are using the services to their full potential
  • Design and implement a comprehensive wellness program

Payroll

  • Coordinate with Domestic Accounting on US, Switzerland, and IA payroll, providing support to ensure timely and accurate submittals
  • Maintain and review payroll processes to ensure efficiency and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Prepare timely and accurate HR documentation, such as Personnel Action Forms, for the following:
  • Bi-weekly US payroll
  • Monthly Switzerland payroll
  • Monthly International Assignee payroll

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws in the US and Switzerland, and advise and educate managers accordingly
  • Ensure compliance needs for the US remote-working population
  • Maintain and update Employment Agreements and ensure proper work permits for International Assignees
  • Ensure the integrity of HR data and accurate/optimal use of the HRIS system (Unit 4)
  • Proactively monitor HR records retention

International Assignees Program

  • Prepare and maintain allowance packages for new and existing IAs
  • Review IA expenses to ensure alignment with the Foundation’s policies
  • Serve as HR point of contact for IAs, collaborating with HR Partners in country as needed

Compensation

  • Proactively evaluate and compare existing compensation practices and approaches with competitors
  • Oversee participation in compensation surveys and analyze results to develop recommendations
  • Collaborate with market salary data vendors to ensure competitiveness and equity
  • Ensure programs and policies deliver internal job equity
  • Conduct job evaluations and makes recommendations for salary adjustments
  • Design creative solutions to compensation-related programs and incentive plans

To be successful, you will have:

  • 8+ years of relevant HR experience, with at least 4 years of experience in benefits design and administration, compensation, and/or payroll
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, CBP, CCP, CEBS, or other relevant HR certification
  • Experience leading and managing ongoing compliance requirements related to US benefits and 403(b) programs
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws
  • Strong team-player abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal communications, written communications, and attention to detail
  • Positive staff service orientation
