Team Introduction
We are looking for a dynamic communications professional with a background in consumer or product comms to join our Global Communications team as Product Communications Specialist.
As part of the Global Communications team at TikTok, you will play a role in highlighting TikTok’s product vision and our commitment to constant technology innovation. This position is rooted in problem-solving and planning, organization and management of key initiatives, and global product storytelling. As a key member of the team, you’ll play a role in both the operational and administrative functions of the Product Communications team while also overseeing external product launches, education, and campaigns across key verticals such as live streaming and some of TikTok’s most exciting core features.
This role is for you if you are a solution-oriented collaborator, passionate about product and innovation, excel at project management, and are eager to build cross-functional relationships. You will have the chance to work on some of the newest and most innovative TikTok products, support campaign development, and partner with key stakeholders to drive the TikTok mission forward.
Responsibilities
– Work with regional and global teams to develop narratives around our livestream and core products and the broader impact they have on our business.
– Assist in developing educational content and campaigns for new and existing TikTok products.
– Draft newsroom posts, media pitches, and launch materials to amplify global product launches and initiatives, working closely with regional teams to adapt these announcements to their local markets.
– Support coordination needs across the Consumer Product Communications team, including identifying insights and data for stories, partnering cross functionally for campaign asset development, help with agenda setting for cross-team meetings and global toolkit standardization.
– Keep a pulse on the media landscape, with an emphasis on trends in product and technology news that’s most relevant to TikTok
– Collaborate with and support the broader Consumer Product Communications team to develop toolkits and launch products worldwide.
– Manage and/or support weekly, monthly and bi-monthly reporting processes monthly
Qualifications
– 3+ years of work experience in consumer or product communications, or a related field
– Experience in leading campaigns, developing assets, data storytelling, media relations, and issue handling.
– Passion for consumer product storytelling, complemented by strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills – a solid capacity to both think and do
– Exceptional listening, problem-solving, and verbal and written communications skills.
– A strong bias-to-action, adept and agile, with the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
– Experience in day-to-day media relations and/or agency background a plus.
– Respect for and desire to learn from other cultures
– Previous experience working with global companies is a plus
