Position Overview
The role focuses on assisting the supervision of data collection, entry, and management for field interventions, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Responsibilities include supporting data analysis, reporting, and capacity-building activities for field staff. Additionally, the position involves aiding in survey planning and implementation, alongside maintaining proper documentation and participating in data verification exercises
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Data Collection and Entry:
o Assist in the supervision of routine collection and entry of data for various field interventions, ensuring complete, accurate, clean, and consistent data is gathered.
o Share collected data with the Research & Analytics Program Coordinator for analysis and action planning.
• Data Management:
o Ensure proper filing and organization of activity tools, including questionnaires, monitoring reports, datasets, and other relevant documents.
o Participate in regular data verification and audit exercises to assess the quality of reported data and address any identified anomalies.
• Reporting:
o Submit weekly and monthly updates on field activities to the Research & Analytics Program Coordinator.
o Assist program staff in preparing periodic high-quality reports, ensuring the program database is up to date.
• Data Analysis:
o Assist in data analysis to support regular assessments, decision-making and action planning.
• Capacity Building:
o Participate in capacity-building and mentorship activities for field staff, focusing on data collection and cleaning, with support from the Research & Analytics Program Coordinator.
• Survey Support:
o Assist in survey planning and implementation, including preparing necessary logistics and participating in data collection and cleaning activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Social Sciences, , or a related discipline.
• Considerable experience in both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
• Significant experience in writing and revising reports.
• Experience in data analysis and familiarity with data analysis software and tools.
Specific Skills for the Post:
• Proficiency in using computer packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Competence in using data collection tools such as Kobo Toolbox and data visualization tools like Power BI is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural contexts.
• Excellent Arabic and English writing, editorial, and speaking skills , Fluency in Turkish is an asset.
• Experience in an INGO will be an asset
